Camps Bay

Camps Bay is the right place to sit back and enjoy the rest of the evening with friends. Either you take a seat in one of the comfy cafes or you enjoy the wonderful view at the Atlantic Ocean right from the beach. Just relax while watching the sunset in its warm colors! You can also watch the sunset from the beach of Llandudno. An unforgettable experience!

Camps Bay restaurants and bars line the palm-tree promenade opposite the beach. Behind them are the luxury houses of Cape Towns wealthiest residents. Local life is casual and in the evening residents and holiday makers can be found enjoying sundowners at the many trendy sidewalk cafe's on the beachfront.

V&A Waterfront & Robben Island - 8 km from Diamond House

The V&A Waterfront has a lot to offer: Hotels, apartments, restaurants, a stage, a movie theatre, a Craft Market and a nice aquarium. All in all, it is an entertaining place. If you are interested in South African history, then you should make a trip to Robben Island. There you can participate in a tour and visit the prison where Nelson Mandela was held captive.

Table Mountain - 1.9 km from Diamond House

Highlight of Cape Town definitely not to be missed. The view is stunning. It can get windy and cool at the top so we advise you to take a jacket. Wherever you are in Cape Town, Table Mountain is showing up from almost everywhere. The best view of the mountain is from the Waterfront, Bloubergstrand and Robben Island!

Cape of Good Hope - 50 km from Diamond House

Cape of Good Hope is another breathtaking place to go, that you shouldn`t miss! It`s a good opportunity to drive along “Chapman`s Peak Drive” and enjoy the spectacular views. In the Good Hope Nature Reserve you will certainly meet baboon families. Watch out, they can become very cheeky. If you are lucky you will also see zebras, ostriches and antelopes.

Botanical Gardens Kirstenbosch - 16 km from Diamond House

The Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden stretches along the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. It was founded in 1913 by the botanist Henry Pearson. Because of its different altitude, this area is suitable as a biotope for a great variety of the plants of Southern Africa. More than 6000 plant species can be discovered in an area of 530 ha. Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is open daily from 8:00am to 18:00pm. The best time to visit is during the early spring months August and September, when the flowers are blooming. Very popular are the Sunset Summer Concerts in Kirstenbosch, which are in summer every Sundays at 17:30.

Long Street Cape Town CBD - 4.5km from Diamond House

The well-known Long Street is right in the City Centre of Cape Town. It invites for a beautiful walk along fancy fashion shops, book shops and music shops. Apart from that you`ll find numerous cafes, restaurants as well as backpackers and clubs. Long Street is usually very busy, especially during the summer. Long

Signal Hill - 5.3 km from Diamond House

Signal Hill separates the suburbs of Green Point and Sea Point from the City Bowl. From the access road you can already enjoy the most stunning view of the city, Table Bay and Table Mountain. You'll find a beautiful picnic spot on top. Breathtaking are the sunsets over the Atlantic and the lights of the night city. Signal Hill's main attraction is the battery with the Noon Gun positioned just below the mountain top. Here a cannon-shot is fired every day at 12 o'clock noon on the dot, to uphold an old Capetonian tradition.

Winelands - Stellenbosch/Paarl/Franschoek

Wine production is an important contributor to the South African economy. Over 10 million hectolitres of wine are being produced every year and this figure is growing. Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek are the heartlands of the wine production. Many small wine farmers have joined together to form big co-operatives, the largest being the KWV - Kooperatiewe Wijnbouers Vereeniging. South African wines are very much in demand overseas and more than 2 million cartons are exported every year. Rent a car or book a guided tour and discover the Winelands around Cape Town. Most of the cellars can be visited without prior arrangement, many also have a restaurant.
